What will you be doing? 

As a Tooling & Equipment Mechanic, you are responsible for checking, repairing, maintaining, and creating tooling & equipment according to procedures and legal regulations. You will do this during day shifts (from 07:00 - 15:30). In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting electrical devices according to the NEN3140 standard
  • Inspecting ladders, stairs, and scaffolding according to the NEN2484 standard
  • Accepting work orders and determining and checking if the necessary materials and/or tools are available to perform tasks
  • Receiving fault reports, assessing the nature and extent, and evaluating repair options
  • Performing repairs, maintenance, and inspections. 

Additionally, you will also perform work in the field of mechanics, turning, milling, and welding We consider it important that you can apply your own technical insights. Therefore, you also have the freedom to apply them based on the design of the Tooling & Equipment Engineer. And of course, you make improvement proposals for situations and applications!

Job requirements

When you start working as a Tooling & Equipment Mechanic at RJC, we have a few requirements for you:

  • You have a vocational education (MBO) level of working and thinking
  • You possess a VEV (Adequately Instructed Person) certificate
  • You have, or are willing to obtain, an NEN3140 certificate
  • You have an NEN2484 certificate (a plus!)
  • You can operate forklifts and cherry pickers
  • You have a good command of both Dutch and English
  • You have a valid driver's license (B).
